savāl-e-tajurba-e-kār-e-saḳht uThne lagā
so phir tamavvuj-e-andoh-baḳht uThne lagā
ba-kaj-adaya-e-ḳhūbān-e-nāz-e-ālam se
tayaqqun-e-dil-bargashta-e-baḳht uThne lagā
dukān-o-majlis-e-nā-āshnā-e-jauhar se
ye arjumand ba-asbāb-o-raḳht uThne lagā
ba-qadr-e-ramz jahāñ fahma-e-nigāh-e-dil
nashīn-e-kūcha-o-sahrā-o-taḳht uThne lagā
ba-iltihāb-e-tamannā-e-dīd-e-hāsil-e-ishq
dhuāñ sā az-jigar-e-laḳht-laḳht uThne lagā
ḳhabar to thī mire dair-āshnā ko duniyā se
ki 'hādis'-e-ġham-e-aġhmāz-e-baḳht uThne lagā
